These insulated wire thermocouples are one of our most popular styles for general purpose use. They are supplied in packs of 5 and there are 4 different models featured on this page:
5SRTC with a miniature size thermocouple plug and strain relief for the thermocouple wire.
5SC has a miniature size thermocouple plug with an integral wire caddy for storage of the thermocouple wire.
5LRTC with a standard size thermocouple plug and strain relief for the thermocouple wire.
5LSC has a standard size thermocouple plug with an integral wire caddy for storage of the thermocouple wire.
All models are available with 90 cm or 1,8 metre wire lengths and 3 types of wire insulation: Kapton and PFA provide good protection against moisture and abrasion resistance and are rated for maximum service temperatures of 315°C and 260°C respectively providing at the same time a fast response to temperature changes. Glass Braid is rated for a maximum service temperature of 480°C. Wire diameters of 0.08, 0.13, 0.25, 0.5 and 0.8mm are available. The smaller diameters have a faster response time whilst the large diameters are more durable.
